Upcoming Presentations

The Kent Branch hosts a variety of interesting family history presentations at our monthly meetings. We meet at the McKinlay Funeral Home Reception Centre at 463 St. Clair Street, Chatham, Ontario. Free parking is available in the St. Clair Plaza. Meetings are held on the second Friday of the months of March, April, May, June, September, October and November at 7:00 P.M. Our meetings are free and open to the public.  Many of our meetings are recorded and available to everyone on our YouTube Channel.

September 14, 2018 – RESEARCHING UNITED EMPIRE LOYALISTS

Kathryn Lake Hogan UE, Genealogist for the Bicentennial Branch of the United Empire Loyalist, will discuss the loyalists and research strategies. We are happy to co-host this presentation with the Kent Historical Society and the Chatham-Kent Museum. Presentation held at 7:00 pm at Studio One, Chatham Cultural Centre, 75 Williams St., Chatham. Open and free to the public.

October 12, 2018 – RESEARCHING TILBURY

Family history research can be a challenge. Knowing about the resources in the area your ancestors lived can help. We will focus on resources in Tilbury area at this meeting. The Tilbury Historical Society will join us and discuss the resources they hold. Held at the McKinlay Funeral Home Reception Centre at 7:00 P.M. November 9, 2018 – MILITARY FAMILIES OF ERIEAU
